With the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2), toxic players from previous iterations of the game found themselves reunited. Their presence created a hostile atmosphere, impacting the enjoyment of casual players. However, it is important to note that not all players fell into this category, as there were many who aimed to foster a positive and inclusive gaming experience. Nonetheless, the reappearance of toxic players served as a reminder of the darker side of online gaming communities.
