Today marked the commencement of the ‘Tech Up’ summit in Istanbul, Turkey, now in its sixth edition. This international summit serves as a convergence point for startups, entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, and influential figures within the startup ecosystem. Organized in partnership with 43 Turkish institutions, spearheaded by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, and the Presidential Investment Office, the summit aspires to actualize the aspirations of entrepreneurial visionaries.
Over the course of two days, the summit unfolds competitive events spanning diverse sectors, including healthcare services, automotive, aviation, logistics, energy, and business management. Encompassing financial banking services, digital advertising, data automation, gaming, artificial intelligence, robotics, wearable technologies, education, agricultural and natural technologies, transportation, and communication technology, the summit provides a comprehensive exploration of cutting-edge advancements.
Offering a dynamic platform for innovative initiatives, the summit facilitates direct interactions between entrepreneurs and over 100 investors. It not only propels the transformation of projects into success stories but also fosters international networking opportunities. Engaging content allows attendees to immerse themselves in hands-on experiences with various products presented by startups and sponsor companies.
A highlight of the summit includes competitive presentations where finalists vie for a grand prize reaching up to $300,000. Evaluation criteria are stringent, emphasizing solutions to identified problems, market relevance, business model validation, team competency, customer and partner engagement, and the presence of an initial product prototype.
Distinguished speakers at the ‘Tech Up’ summit include Jean-Yves Le Gall, former president of the International Astronomical Union, Dima Ghawi, CEO of ‘Hikma Groop,’ and Merko Kovac, founder and director of the Sustainable Robotics Lab.
Since its inception in 2018, the summit continues to offer a unique and enriching experience for entrepreneurs, investors, startups, and tech enthusiasts.
