Meta has introduced an innovative feature to the WhatsApp application, enabling users to effortlessly create and manage two accounts on a single device.
Gone are the days of needing an extra device or constantly logging in and out to juggle between different WhatsApp accounts. With this new capability, users can seamlessly navigate conversations across multiple accounts, allowing for the creation of distinct WhatsApp accounts tailored for work and personal communication.
Creating dual WhatsApp accounts on a single device necessitates two separate phone numbers, along with a SIM card or a phone compatible with multiple SIMs or eSIM. Additionally, the secondary phone is required to receive a one-time password sent by the WhatsApp platform to access the second account on a different device.
Once a new account is added, users can effortlessly switch between them, accessing respective chats, communities, and calls associated with each account.
Creating a Second WhatsApp Account:
- Navigate to the WhatsApp application on your Android device.
- Click on the three-dot menu icon in the upper right corner and select “Settings.”
- Tap the arrow icon in the upper right, located next to your profile picture and phone number.
- Select the “Add Account” option.
- A dedicated screen for adding a new account will appear. After accepting the terms of service, specify your country and enter your phone number.
- Following phone number verification, a prompt will appear, offering the option to backup or transfer account content from an old device. Users can choose to proceed with this or go directly to the personal account information screen to set up the new account.
Switching between WhatsApp accounts is a breeze. Once the second account is ready, a new option will appear in the main menu, allowing users to effortlessly toggle between accounts. To switch accounts, click on the three-dot menu icon in the upper right, then select the “Switch accounts” option.
