Microsoft recently integrated its artificial intelligence assistant, CoPilot, into the “iOS” and “iPadOS” operating systems, according to news reports.
The company launched a dedicated application for Apple device users shortly after introducing the CoPilot app for Android users. This move enables a large number of users to benefit from artificial intelligence.
The application provides access to Microsoft’s AI assistant, formerly known as Bong Chat, and operates similarly to the GPT-3-based mobile chat app by OpenAI.
The application allows users to ask questions, compose emails, and summarize text. Additionally, it generates AI-enhanced images through the “DALL-E 3” text-to-image conversion program.
Microsoft states that “CoPilot enhances your design work and takes your creativity to new inspiring heights by combining the power of GPT-4 and the capabilities of DALL-E 3.”
CoPilot grants access to the advanced GPT-4 language model without requiring a subscription fee, unlike the free version of GPT-3-based ChatGPT.
The use of GPT-4 improves the application’s capabilities and responsiveness. Microsoft rebranded Bong Chat to CoPilot strategically, aligning with its goal of providing a unique and tailored user experience similar to ChatGPT. This rebranding signifies a shift in focus towards delivering an independent and customized interaction platform.
Microsoft also offers a separate web experience for the AI assistant CoPilot, differentiating it further from Bong Chat and emphasizing its independent nature. Additionally, Microsoft has introduced dedicated applications for both Android and Apple devices.
The CoPilot application is now available for download via the Apple store for users of “iOS” and “iPadOS,” marking a significant milestone in Microsoft’s efforts to provide advanced artificial intelligence solutions across various platforms.
