LG Unveils Cutting-edge TV Lineup with AI Enhancements at CES 2024
South Korean electronics company LG showcased some of the products it will be unveiling during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024.
According to an official statement, LG will introduce a new family of televisions featuring advanced technology leveraging artificial intelligence in image processing, balance, color contrast, display resolution, and audio precision.
The two new TV models from the South Korean company, LG Signature OLED M4 and OLED G4, will come with the new α11 AI processor. This processor improves graphics processing by 70% and increases processing speed by 30%.
The new processor utilizes artificial intelligence to enhance content display on the screen. It analyzes content with high precision, with the intelligent system inside LG’s new processor examining each pixel of the content. It analyzes the nature of colors and shades displayed, ultimately providing an exceptionally high-quality display.
The company highlighted that its new TVs will offer an immersive content experience, presenting it to viewers as if it were in 3D. This is made possible by the new feature called Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro, introduced for the first time on their smart screens.
LG’s television screens will range in size from 65 inches to 97 inches, with 4K display quality and a screen refresh rate of 144 frames per second – a significant upgrade compared to last year’s screens with a refresh rate of only 120 Hz.
On the audio front, the new LG TV lineup employs AI Sound Pro technology to adjust audio settings based on real-time content. For instance, when there is dialogue in the content, the sound waves of the characters’ voices are enhanced for clear audibility compared to the surrounding sounds within the content.
LG also introduces its new audio technology in the latest LG Soundbar devices, providing users with a distinctive audio experience while watching their new TVs. It features WOWCAST technology, delivering a rich audio experience that places the user at the heart of a unique viewing experience.
The company did not disclose pricing information for its new products in the statement.
