Riyadh – In a recent development, the Communications and Information Technology Commission has published the third-quarter report for the “GameMode” initiative in 2023. This report assesses the performance of communication service providers in the Kingdom concerning popular electronic games, demonstrating a noteworthy 38% enhancement in electronic game performance compared to the third quarter of the preceding year, 2022.
Issued on Wednesday, the report disclosed an upswing in the performance metrics for electronic game download speeds on major gaming platforms in the Kingdom, surpassing 98% when compared to the advertised speeds for fixed internet packages.
Leading the charge, “Mobily” and “Salam” claimed the top positions among operators, achieving a 100% download speed performance for electronic games on the PlayStation platform. Additionally, Mobily continued its dominance, securing a 99% performance rate on the XBOX platforms and a perfect 100% on STEAM.
The report highlighted the prowess of “STC” and “Mobily” as they secured the leading positions in providing the best response times across eight games, including popular titles such as Call of Duty, FIFA, Apex Legends, VALORANT, OVERWATCH2, Rocket League, Battlefield, and Halo Infinite.
In the realm of gaming, “STC,” “Mobily,” and “Zain” collectively clinched the top spot for the popular game Among Us. Furthermore, “STC” took the lead in six games, encompassing Fortnite, Counter-Strike, Dota 2, World of Warcraft, Rainbow Six Siege, and League of Legends. “Mobily” seized the top spot in two games, PUBG and PUBG MOBILE.
