The Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 4, titled MEGA, is coming to an end with the Summer Games Fest ceremony on Thursday, June 8 at 9 PM French time. The new season, called “Wilds” (or “Green Hell” in French), will be presented during the event. Epic Games and Geoff Keighley, the organizer of the ceremony, have collaborated to promote the season with teasers on social media. After three months of partnerships, including Spider-Man and Attack on Titan, Fortnite announces the appearance of a massive crater at the heart of the island and the return of a jungle area with a mysterious Aztec temple. There are even rumors of the presence of climbable dinosaurs and an angry volcano. Epic Games intentionally leaked most (if not all) of the battle pass for this new season, surprising fans with such early disclosure. Additionally, XP is in Supercharged mode until the end of the season, allowing players to complete their battle pass before the next one arrives on June 9 after 8 AM, the season’s closing time, followed by the usual mandatory maintenance period. Among the guests in this new wave, players can expect to find characters like Mariposa, Relik, Optimus Prime, Miaousclé calicool, Era, Trace, Rian, and Lorenzo. Some of them may be familiar, as the Transformers franchise seems to be at the core of the season, coinciding with the recent release of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts in cinemas. Although the exact program (gameplay presentation, launch cinematic, or both) and the specific timing of Fortnite’s segment in the show are still unknown, it is undoubtedly an event not to be missed. The conference promises to feature flagship games like Alan Wake 2, the Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, and many other surprising announcements. You can follow the conference and the launch of the new season on ActuGaming, of course.
