Despite the dominance of artificial intelligence at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the exhibition also witnessed some tangible trends and notable designs, according to the German news agency.
One of the most exciting devices at this year’s electronics show is the “Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid.” As the name suggests, it combines a 14-inch laptop with Microsoft Windows and a 14-inch tablet with Google Android. The two devices complement each other, and data such as photos can be accessed through the hybrid drive. Additionally, the tablet mode with the Android system can be used in a Microsoft Windows environment, and the screen supports input with a stylus.
The standout feature of the Lenovo device is the ability to continue using the laptop after detaching the screen and using it as a tablet. The remaining laptop can be used through an external screen as a Windows computer. The new Lenovo device is expected to be released in the second quarter of 2024.
Acer expressed its belief in the idea of three-dimensional display on laptop screens by unveiling the “Aspire 3D 15 Special Labs Edition” during its participation in the Consumer Electronics Show. The technical specifications of Acer’s new device include a 3D screen, along with two cameras on the top edge of the screen to track the user’s eye position.
In the background, Acer’s artificial intelligence model creates deep maps of two-dimensional content from programs and videos, then generates a 4K resolution double image on the screen. For the person sitting in front of the laptop, this image simulates three-dimensional technology.
