After its release, Apple has pulled the second beta of the iOS 17.3 update due to complaints of iPhones crashing after downloading and installing the update. Apple has removed the new beta versions of iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3 from the Developer Center, making them no longer available for download and installation.
Numerous complaints surfaced on social media, Apple’s official support forum, and other specialized forums about iPhones crashing after installing the new update. iPhones are getting stuck in a Boot Loop and are unable to start up.
This issue is disastrous for users who may not be able to use their devices again without restoring factory settings, leading to the deletion of all contents and the loss of important files and data if there is no backup. Some users speculate that the problem with iPhones might be related to the ‘Back Tap’ feature, but there is no official comment from Apple regarding the withdrawal of the update.
Fortunately, the second beta of the iOS 17.3 update was pulled just three hours after its release and was only available to developers, not general users. It is generally advised to avoid installing beta updates on essential devices to prevent similar problems. Apple is currently testing the beta version of iOS 17.3, which will provide users with some improvements and new features, including a stolen phone protection feature.
