A spokesperson for Google indicated that the application is currently not available for download in Europe. The member states of the European Union recently approved new legislation to regulate artificial intelligence, the first of its kind in the world.
In parallel, the subsidiary company of the Alphabet group launched yesterday, Thursday, the paid option “GeminAI Advanced,” which allows access to the most advanced version “Ultra 1.0” of its linguistic model that enables users to generate content on-demand in everyday language.
The “GeminAI Advanced” program is sold in 150 countries with a monthly subscription of $19.99 in the United States.
“GeminAI Advanced” includes the “Do It AI” function, which originally allowed the use of generative artificial intelligence to write or rewrite emails, documents, or spreadsheets.
By making the use of generative artificial intelligence possible for its programs such as Gmail, Google Docs, or Google Meet, the group aims to compete with Microsoft’s flagship AI programs.
Microsoft, through its application “Copilot,” allows the use of generative artificial intelligence as an assistant in programs like Outlook (email), Word (word processor), or Teams (communication platform).
Microsoft launched a new version of “Copilot” on Wednesday.
