Huawei’s wireless headphones need further development to extend battery life, especially when using the active noise cancellation feature. The battery of Huawei’s FreeBuds Pro 3 wireless headphones drains in less than five hours, whereas the battery life of Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 wireless headphones lasted over nine hours with similar settings.
The battery life of Google Pixel Buds Pro wireless headphones lasted about 8 hours, while Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro depleted after approximately 7 hours.
Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Pro wireless headphones cannot compete with the iconic Apple AirPods Pro 2 in terms of sound quality. Despite excelling in deep tones and bass, they lack clarity in high frequencies. Additionally, the active noise cancellation feature does not work as efficiently as Apple’s or Google’s Pixel Buds. Making phone calls with Samsung’s headphones is also uncomfortable, as the sound is often choppy during testing.
Samsung’s wireless headphones come at a lower cost. Meanwhile, Huawei’s FreeBuds Pro 3 wireless headphones are an attractive alternative to Apple’s AirPods Pro and many other Android-based wireless headphones.
Test results have shown that Huawei’s wireless headphones are the most compatible with all smartphones. However, the battery life was relatively short compared to Apple’s AirPods Pro. Thus, improving battery life should be a priority for Huawei’s future headphone models.
