Artificial intelligence is a computer science discipline that focuses on developing and training machines to perform tasks similar to those done by humans, think like them, and successfully address issues. The primary goal of this technology is problem-solving from the outset.

OpenAI consists of two different entities: “OpenAI LP,” a non-profit organization registered in Delaware, USA, and “OpenAI Global LLC,” a for-profit entity. OpenAI turned into a for-profit company in 2019 but in a limited manner, by placing a specific cap on the company’s profits to ensure financial returns do not compromise its goals of developing safe and useful artificial intelligence for humanity. This transformation occurred when Microsoft provided a billion-dollar investment to the company, dividing the ownership stake between 49% for Microsoft and other investors and 49% for the OpenAI organization.
