The social media platform formerly known as Twitter, now called “X,” has restored its services following a global outage earlier this Thursday morning. During the peak of the disruption, over 77,000 users in the United States encountered difficulties.
Users in Canada, the UK, France, and other countries also reported issues accessing both “X” and “X Pro.” Users experienced challenges in viewing posts, receiving a message that greeted them to “X.” Additionally, problems with loading on “X Pro” were observed, accompanied by a message stating “Waiting for posts.”
According to data from “DownDetector.com,” more than 7,000 users in Canada and the UK faced problems with the platform. The cause of the disruption, which began on Thursday after 5 a.m. GMT, remains unidentified.
As of now, “X” has not issued an immediate comment on the outage, and no information has been disclosed about the cause. This is not the first time the platform has faced such issues, with previous sudden service interruptions attributed to technical problems with servers.
Currently, “X” is grappling with challenges as the European Union launches an investigation into alleged violations by the platform related to European regulations on content supervision and transparency.
