Google Chrome’s web browser has initiated testing for three new features leveraging artificial intelligence. These features aim to improve browsing experiences, simplify text creation, design browser interfaces, and organize tab labels.
The latest release of the Chrome Canary browser, dedicated to testing new functionalities, reveals that Google has introduced a new tab labeled “Experimental AI.” This tab includes three features: Help me write, Tab Organizer, and Create themes with AI. However, Google has not specified when these features will be rolled out to all users.
The Help me write feature on the new tab assists users in generating text within input fields on websites by simply right-clicking the mouse button. The feature begins creating text when the user enters a text command.
Tab Organizer, the second feature, aids users in automatically organizing tab labels by grouping similar websites together. Users can achieve this by right-clicking the mouse button and selecting “Organize,” prompting an automatic reorganization.
The third feature, Create themes with AI, empowers users to customize the browser’s interface design, including colors and shapes. This can be accomplished by opening a new tab and clicking on “Customize Chrome.”
Google Chrome continues to integrate features and tools driven by artificial intelligence. In recent months, the company has introduced various enhancements to assist in text creation and editing in applications like Docs and Gmail, image design in the Slides application for interactive presentations, and advanced capabilities to its personal assistant, Assistant. Google also unveiled its artificial intelligence model, Gemini AI, which demonstrated superior performance in certain aspects compared to competing models like OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 and GPT-4.
Gemini AI comprises three versions: “Nano” for smartphones, “Pro” supporting the chatbot “Bard” and various Google applications and services, and “Ultra,” representing the most advanced and capable model.
